De Britse singer-songwriter Llyod Cole (jawel, van eighties topgroep Lloyd Cole and the Commotions) brengt in juni zijn nieuwe album 'On Pain' uit. Alweer zijn twaalfde (!) album als solo-artiest, deze keer in samenwerking met de mede-oprichters van z'n band, the Commotions: Blair Cowan en Neil Clark. Cole's succesformule van rock, indie en pop bljift werken. Met een gloednieuwe tour tot gevolg, die ook in Arenberg stopt!

Cole over de nieuwe plaat: "Ik ben opgewonden om nieuwe methodes, perspectieven en sounds te vinden. Het album luidt misschien een commerciële dood in, maar mijn carrière is dat toch al voor bijna 30 jaar. En hier zijn we nog steeds! Ik wil nog steeds albums maken, ik wil nog steeds gehoord worden. Ik kijk uit naar het podium delen met Neil en Blair, zonder de intentie er een retro show van the Commotions van te maken".
